The Second Sunday of Easter Grace
Welcome
Prelude "Meditation" by Hal Hopson
Call to Worship Sandy Green
The Lord did not abandon Thomas to his unbelief,
nor will the Lord abandon us to ours.
God hears our cries for help and answers.
God knows how we struggle to believe what we can't see or touch.
See God at work in your life from this day forward.
Now trust your spiritual sight more each day.
Opening Hymn “Hail the Day That Sees Him Rise” #312
Opening Prayer Sandy Green
Lord of life, submitting to death, you conquered the grave.
By being lifted on a cross you draw all peoples to you.
By being raised from the dead
you restored to humanity all that we had lost through sin.
Throughout these fifty days of Easter
we proclaim the marvelous mystery of death and resurrection.
For
all praise is yours, now and throughout eternity. Amen.

Prayer of Thanksgiving and The Lord’s Prayer Sandy Green
O God, you have blessed us. We find it hard to name and explain your blessings so that they will make sense to others. Yet they are real. We are grateful . . . for friends, for faith, for freedom. Now, we offer these gifts in thankfulness and in joy. We are giving money and rejoicing about it. We can't explain it, even to ourselves, as we offer these gifts. We rejoice because we offer this money to be used for good in this world. We pray as Jesus taught us to by saying:
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come, your will be done,
on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us.
Save us from the time of trial and deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours
now and for ever. Amen.
