ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Village
Children’s Center, (VCC), is an outreach of Trinity United Methodist
Church, (TUMC). The Director will work with the pastor to find ways to
provide meaningful interaction between VCC and Trinity UMC.
Commitment
to people, passion for children, and ability to maintain performance
standards in order to provide high quality preschool education.
Ability to interact with the public and employees in a positive manner and promote a cooperative working environment.
Ability
to speak clearly and persuasively in public or private setting.
Excellent oral and written communications skills in English.
Ability
to reach out to, establish, and maintain nurturing business and
community partnerships and build networks to drive enrollment. Proven
ability to manage the marketing for the child care center.
Ability to build strong positive relationships with the families of VCC.
Ability
to understand and manage VCC payroll, ensure the accuracy of time
keeping systems, and manage staff scheduling to meet compliance
standards.
Ability to monitor and evaluate performance of staff members.
Ability
to listen objectively to employee concerns and complaints and enact, or
plan, a recommended course of action, in accordance with all VCC
policies. Seeks counsel from the VCC Committee as required.
Ability to process VCC business related billing while ensuring alignment with budgeting guidelines.
Computer literacy required, with proficiency in Google Docs and Microsoft Office products, including Excel and Word.
