Quarterly TURRI ROAD CLEAN-UP

Saturday, September 26, 2026

Are you ready for a safe, fun outing, while getting in some exercise? Please join the Turri Road Cleanup Crew on a Saturday. All are welcome but please no pets or small children.

We'll meet up at 10:00 am. at the Chumash Trailhead parking area, which is a little further down Turri Road on the left. We had to move the meeting place because of the construction equipment at the corner of Turri and So. Bay Blvd.  Depending on the number of volunteers, we are usually done by noon.

Rain will cancel the clean-up.

Turri Road is a beautiful five mile stretch of roadway through San Luis Obispo County.

Trinity United Methodist Church has adopted Turri Road as a part of California's "Adopt-A-Highway" Program. Trinity holds quarterly clean-ups and the community is invited to join in.

Turri road was listed in a Buzzfeed article as one of the 14 most beautiful roads in the world - click here to read the article.

Local photographer Lars Mikkelsen captured a picture of this beautiful bald eagle, along Turri Road, last summer. Perhaps if you join the clean-up you might catch a glimpse of a bald eagle. Even if you don't see an eagle, the scenery along Turri Road is beautiful.
