Ministries and Programs

  • Weekly Food Distribution

Trinity UMC supports the Los Osos Baywood community by distributing food boxes to anyone who has need of them. Boxes are available Tuesday and Friday between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon at the kitchen door. People are eligible for a food box once per month. You can help by signing up to distribute food or by donating food or money to our food pantry.

  • Community Dinners

Since 2017 Trinity has partnered with Los Osos Cares and six local groups and churches to provide dinner on Monday nights from 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. On April 9, 2019 the dinners moved to Thursday nights at the Los Osos Community Center. Trinity continues to be involved by preparing and serving dinner each time there is a 'fifth Thursday."

  • No-cook lunch bags

We have no-cook lunch bags to give to hungry persons with no place to cook or prepare meals.

  • Little free pantry

We also have a "Little Free Pantry," by our back driveway. The motto is, "take what you need, leave what you can." You can help by leaving canned and packaged foods.

  • thanksgiving boxes

Each year near Thanksgiving, Trinity UMC prepares approximately 60 boxes for those in need. Our boxes contain a turkey and everything necessary to prepare a full Thanksgiving dinner. You can help by donating or by helping prepare and/or distribute the boxes.

  • Annual hunger walk

Each Fall we do a hunger walk to raise money for our food programs. We invite you to watch the newsletter for hunger walk information and then join us by sponsoring a walker, or by gathering sponsors and joining us on the walk.
