Fifth Sunday in Lent

Out of the depths we cry to the Lord

O Lord, hear us.

There is forgiveness with the Lord.

In God’s word is our hope.

We praise our God who gives us faith.

And saves us from distress.

O God our deliverer;

            you led your people of old through the wilderness

            and brought them to the promised land.

Guide now the people of your church, that,

            following our Savior, we may walk through the wilderness

            of this world toward the glory of the world to come;

through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you

                and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

The Lord’s Prayer

  Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come,

your will be done, on earth as in heaven.   

  Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our sins as we

forgive those who sin against us.

  Save us from the time of trial and deliver us from evil.

For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours now and for ever.
